Why I Chose Medicine

I chose medicine because my youngest daughter, who had a rare epilepsy syndrome, required around-the-clock care and nursing allowed me to care for her and also afforded me to understand many of the treatments prescribed to her. As her clinical presentation became more complicated, I continued my education.

“Volunteer with Empowering People’s Independence – This is an Epilepsy organization and I typically volunteer as a nurse at their summer camp…”
