John P. Colianni, MD joined the group on September 1, 2009 in the specialty of Primary Care Sports Medicine. This specialty deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of injuries and medical conditions associated with exercise and athletics. Injuries of this type include: shoulder dislocation, different types of fractures and sprains, and ligament injuries. Primary Care Sports Medicine physicians can refer patients needing surgery to an orthopaedic surgeon. They also perform pre-operative rehabilitation and medical stabilization on patients in need of surgery. Dr. Colianni specializes in the following services and procedures: joint and soft tissue injections, musculoskeletal ultrasound, non-surgical fracture care, sports-related concussion management, pre-sports-participation consultations and exams, exercise prescriptions and exercise testing, and osteopathic manipulative treatments. He will serve as a team physician for local schools and colleges. Dr. Colianni completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship and his Family Medicine Residency Program at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Colianni is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Syed A Hasan MD
Slocum-Dickson Medical Group P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Syed Anees Hasan, MD, FRCS, has joined the Pain Management Department of Slocum-Dickson Medical Group PLLC. Dr. Hasan is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with an emphasis on interventional pain management. With a strong background in orthopaedics, Dr. Hasan has special interest in the comprehensive care of the spine including interventional procedures in patients with chronic lower back and neck pain.

Peter Ojuro DO
Slocum-Dickson Medical Group P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Peter Ojuro, DO joined the Gastroenterology department on Aug 18, 2008. Dr. Ojuro is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Internists and specializes in Gastroenterology. Dr. Ojuro performs a variety of Gastroenterology procedures including, but not limited to: ERCP which is an x-ray examination of the bile ducts, Colonoscopy, EGD which examines the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and upper small bowel, PEG tube placement, Esophageal motility studies, pH monitoring and Capsule Endoscopy. He has a special interest in colon cancer screening, GERD, IBS and celiac sprue.

Lev Goldiner MD
Slocum-Dickson Medical Group P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Lev Goldiner, MD joined the Neurology Department at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group on July 15, 2008. Dr. Goldiner completed his Neurophysiology Fellowship at the State University of New York University of Buffalo, NY. He completed his Adult Neurology Residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and his Internal Medicine Internship at Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Goldiner earned his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica, WI. Dr. Goldiner has given several grand rounds presentations to help educate fellow physician about Neurology issues. In 2006, he was given the Outstanding Service and Dedication Award during the Annual Doctor’s Day at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Goldiner specializes in General Neurology, Neurophysiology (EMG/NCS, EEG and Evoked Potentials) with a special interest in Neuromuscular diseases and Epilepsy.

Monideepa Baruah MD
Slocum-Dickson Medical Group P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Monideepa Baruah, MD will be joining the Obstetrics/Gynecology department on July 7, 2008. Procedures performed by Dr. Baruah include, but are not limited to: cystoscopy, cystocele and rectocele repair, laparoscopic hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, abdominal hysterectomy, and hysteroscopy. She has a special interest in Urogynecology which means patients with conditions such as urinary incontinence and uterine prolapse. She is trained in the trans-obturator tape sling procedure which is a widely used treatment for stress urinary incontinence. As an Obstetrician, Dr. Baruah cares for women during pregnancy and delivery.

Sam M Faradyan MD
Slocum-Dickson Medical Group P.L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Sam M. Faradyan, MD will be joining the Pulmonary / Critical Care Department on July 15, 2008. Dr. Faradyan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and Board Eligible in Critical Care. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the lungs and respiratory system. Dr. Faradyan provides management of many respiratory diseases including, but not limited to: Allergic Pulmonary Embolism, Asthma, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Lung Cancer, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Sleep Apnea. Specialty procedures performed by Dr. Faradyan include Bronchoscopy and Pulmonary Function Testing.

Sajid A Khan MD
Sajid A. Khan, MD will be joining Slocum-Dickson Medical Group on March 3, 2008 in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with an emphasis on Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Khan provides medical management and interventional techniques for controlling pain. \r\nHe treats a variety of medical conditions including; low back pain, neck pain, chronic arm or neck pain, thoracic pain, cervicogenic headache, cancer pain, shingles pain, pelvic and chronic hip pain. Treatments include transforaminal/translaminar epidurals, selective nerve root, facet blocks, Botox for chronic headache, peripheral nerve injections, trigger point injections and sympathetic blockade. Dr. Khan also performs more specialized procedures such as, spinal cord stimulators and radiofrequency neurolytic techniques. \r\nAll injections are performed with fluoroscopic guidance, assuring exquisitely accurate injections. Dr. Khan’s emphasis is on compassion, pain control and the patient’s return to normal functioning. He is strongly committed to working with primary care and referring physicians to coordinate patient care. Gary Neale MD
Gary Neale, MD joined our Surgery Department on October 29, 2007. Dr. Neale specializes in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery. He completed his Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery in Oakland, CA and his General Surgery Residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Neale completed a General Surgical Internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Leicester Medical School in England. Dr. Neale is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Neale will be joining four other physicians in the Surgery Department; General, Thoracic, and Bariatric Surgeon Kenneth D. Graniero, MD, General Surgeon Robert E. David J Patalino MD
David J. Patalino, MD will join Slocum-Dickson’s Orthopaedic Department, in the subspecialty of Hand and Elbow Surgery, on August 20, 2007. Dr. Patalino will provide general orthopaedic care along with specialty services including but not limited to; Hand and Wrist Reconstructive Surgery, Hand and Wrist Trauma, Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release (CTR), and Wrist and Elbow Arthroscopy. He Completed his Orthopedic Hand Surgery Fellowship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Patalino received his Medical Degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse College of Medicine in Syracuse, NY and is Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery. Nathaniel Gould MD
Nathaniel Gould, MD will be joining Slocum-Dickson on August 22, 2007. Dr. Gould specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Gould has knowledge in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Stroke Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Prosthetics/Orthotics. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Gould completed an Internal Medicine Internship at York Hospital in York, PA. He received his Medical Degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. John J Cai MD
John J. Cai, MD joined the Cardiology Department of Slocum-Dickson Medical Group on July 30, 2007 in the subspecialty of Electrophysiology. Prior to joining Slocum-Dickson, Dr. Cai was Director of Clinical Electrophysiology at the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute in Utica, NY. Robert Wasiczko MD
Robert J. Wasiczko, MD joined the Surgery Department of Slocum-Dickson Medical Group on January 22, 2007.
